How to make study plan?

First and foremost, things:  Cracking JEE/ Other Exam means “You need to give your best”

How?

Hard work + Dedication + Strategy + Self Discipline

Remember, for JEE level exam, just hard work and dedication will not work unless combining with strategy.

Strategy means,

a.      To know clear understanding of what all you need to study and then categorization of complete syllabus into tough, medium and easy as per your preparation so far. In this way, you need to know, in which portion of syllabus, how much time you need to devote.

b.     Estimate the time you have based on by when you want to complete your syllabus so that you can enough time for revision, mock tests and previous years papers.

c.      Estimate how much time you can devote at the max. per day. Not less than 14 hrs of study.

d.     Select the books and follow those till the end of preparation. Do remember, during course of study you may get more books, some of your friend may suggest some books etc. Don’t get deviated. Stick to your plan.

e.      Study the JEE prospectus properly. This will help in framing the strategy.

f.      Understand the marking scheme as in JEE we have marking scheme of full, partial and zero. This will also help you to understand the high scoring areas.

Self-Discipline

a.      Ensure adequate sleep

b.     30 mins exercise daily (walk/ run/ cycle/ skipping)

c.      Minimize the time spend on social media, playing online games, talk over phone. Too much of these will exhaust your brain and you will not able to remember the learnt things.

d.     Take small breaks between the study. Listen to relaxation music etc.

How to make plan for study?

First, list down important things,

a.      Need to study the complete syllabus

a.      Divide the complete syllabus for all the subjects into category tough, medium and easy. Tough means you need to give more time and easy means you need to give less time.

b.     Now categorize the list in above point a. into timeframe so that you will be able to complete the syllabus in 8 months.

c.      Write down monthly how to much to complete and check your progress every month.

b.     Need to solve mock test (decide on number say 500 mock tests) and at least 10 years JEE papers.

c.      Revision is the key factor and need to save time for this at the end and also while study

d.     Take breaks in-between as continuous study can be stressful and it will hamper too much when we need to study for a year with great pace.

e.      Maintain the pace. Means it is not that, one month you study too much and next month nothing. If you do this, whatever you studied so far, that also will become meaningless.

Fresh up and exercise: one hr.

Start study by 6: 30am till 1:30

Lunch break and relaxation: 1.5 hrs

Start again from 3pm to 9pm

Dinner break and relaxation: 1hr

10 -11 pm: analyze your work done and prepare for next day.

Try to ensure 6-7 hrs of sleep every day.

Remember

Plan:  This will keep your preparation on track and allow you to continue for long time.

Mind map: This will help you memorize the things in a better way and long term.

Few Tips:

·       Simply your life.

·       Place good strategy in place

·       Begin with end in mind

·       Be honest in checking your progress

·       Always remember, whatever you are doing, you are doing for yourself.

·       Time and opportunity never come back

·       Build your own path. If today you are blaming someone for your failure or condition, tomorrow you will do the same and this will not improve your condition. Your condition will get worse day by day. Hence take the control of your life today firmly so that tomorrow you will be in better position.

LEARN TO SWEAT IN PEACE.

The harder you are on yourself, the easier life is on you.

SIMPLIFY YOUR LIFE

It’s hard to be aggressive when you are confused.

Hard work + Dedication + Strategy + Self Discipline

Hard work = 14 hrs/day

Dedication= Aim at goal, continuous study without any break

Strategy= Make plan with checkpoints to monitor the progress

Self -Discipline= Remove all unwanted obstacles + maintain health

These are sample mind maps for your understanding.

Please do remember, due to vast syllabus, it is very difficult for anyone to revise all again. So while study if you create mind maps, it will help you in easy revision before the exam.

Revision is very important as more you are able to revise properly, more confidence you will build up within yourself.
