Most dangerous words "You live my dream"

Image
For a child, he/ she has his/her own dreams. They also have their own abilities. They also know how to achieve them. But the problem lies, when we start thinking they are kids and they need our full support. More than that, they started living in dilemma when parents says, I couldn't able to fulfil my dream but you live my dream. All parents need to understand, no one can live other's dream. Dream always be own dream, then only will be able to trace the path to get hold of that dream. You only will be passionate about your own dream. Let the child dream their dreams, let them figure out the path to achieve it, then only they can taste the real success.

Why own "Interest" and "Personality Traits" are so important to decide upon the Career and Career Goals?

Let me tell you some names. Michael Jordon, Oprah Winfrey, Albert Einstein, Walt Disney, Lionel Messi, Steve Jobs, Eminem, The Beatles, Dr. Seuss, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison. There is one thing in common among all. They all were either thrown out of their own office or at where there were working on. But they never let allow their passion go away from them and all became most sucessful person in their respective area of interest. When something you do of your own interest, you internal force help you drive that work and then that interest we become your PASSION. Most of us thought selection of career is just after class 12th or after passing out of graduation or post-graduation but the fact is your career selection is going to stick with you for your entire professional life and sometimes later as well.  Therefore it is very important that, you should consider your interest and personality along with your aptitute while selecting a course or career for yourself. This wil...

Conventional methods are more powerful than Digital Media, Just you need to start early.

According to IIT-JEE website, Sahal Kaushik from Delhi was the youngest person to have cracked the exam in 2010 at the age of 14 Have you ever get a chance to speak with such child? They are not always gifted. Only thing, they starts early. Once I happened to speak with a gold medalist in Class 12, and I got surprised to know, she had completed Class 9th syllabus while she was in Class 6th. We as parent always attract towards the things which are lucrative like Digital Courses, Digital Medias etc. without giving much thought to it and it's pros and cons. But believe me if you adopt scientific approach for your child in making him understand the things from 5th standard, he/she could do miracle in their life. These digital media people are making money for themselves. They are making a knowledge ecosystem in such a way that children are unable to think beyond that. A book will do more miracle. Most of the digital medias and videos that are available are doing harm to children than b...

Are we responsible parents?

Image
When I was young, my mother used to say while comparing with one neighboring kid, he will become engineer and you will become clerk. Neither he is engineer today nor I am clerk. Are we as parents capable enough to decide our child career?  Are we misleading them or really guiding them?  How much we are sure about the future of any career while suggesting the same to our child?  Is it too much guidance and pressure destroying natural skills of child which may lead him better than invalidated guidance? Francis Galton was the first person to identify "nature" and "nurture" as two separate influences whose effects could be measured and compared, maintaining that these two elements alone were responsible for determining personality. Nature is what one got inborn and inherited and Nurture is what learned from experiences since birth and onwards. Do we ever thought of any method or tools which can measure what a child can do best and what as parents we could do better to...
